Skeleton woman.

This is a story that has been retold from the process that we do called: hear, map, step, speak. So I did this with a way better font on google docs so if you want to see that story in the different font then here is the link:

the fronted story

Skeleton woman

This is a story about a girl who was changed from flesh to bones. On a bright summer day there were two people, a father and a daughter. The father's eyes were very angry, it was as if he would do anything to release his pain. And that is exactly what he did, he went for the girls neck and pulled her over the cliff, he shouted like there was nothing and no one to stop him. He threw her off the cliff, and she fell to her certain doom, hitting rocks that were like a tree that could tower over a house like it was nothing (except that they weren't bushy, more like spiky). Down she fell to the bottom of the sea never to be seen again, being eaten by the fish. As years passed, fishermen didn’t dare go near that fateful place, believing it was haunted !! One chilly winter day, a fisherman from an igloo built on ice, he thought he caught what he thought was a fish, but was merely just the girl that fell all those years ago. He dreamed of bringing the fish to the village and feasting for days on end. When he stopped to look at the fish he saw only fear in himself, but a skeleton dancing on the water. He sreecked like a girl and without thinking he just put his rod down (in his kaiak) and started to paddle like he was being chased by a ferocious beast. He looked back every now and then, and only saw more fear in himself. “Land !!” he cried as if he had just seen a ghost. Running to his hut he did the same thing he did when he was on water. Finally in the hut, he lit a candle, to see only what his biggest fear, right in front of him: the skeleton woman (dan dan daaa!!) As he looked closer, he recognized that the rod was still attached to the ribs of her. He slowly but carefully approached her and started to untangle the rope from her. “Done,” he announced, then he found himself very tired, so he went to bed. As he slepped he shed a tear, then the skeleton went to him and kissed the tear then sang a song: I wish for hair to take care of it, to brush it round, I wish for teeth so I can talk and eat, I wish  for lips to kiss . Morning came, as the fisherman woke, He found himself staring at a beautiful woman. Then as she woke they took each other for their partner.

The end

P.s: I ment husband & wife when I said partner.

  1. Kia ora Alex,

Thank you for sharing this story. It was great to read that you were learning about it as part of story telling. I can see from the level of detail that you have really enjoyed the story. You have used some interesting similes and a strong description language. It is a bit of a sad story but I'm glad it has a happy ending. I wonder what made the father angry enough to hurt his own daughter?

Keep up the great learning and blogging,

  2. Hi Alex,

You have explained the story very well and it was interesting to read. When I heard the story myself, I did wonder what the daughter did so wrong for her father to do what he did. Such a sad start to a story but with a happy ending.
Good work Alex, keep it up :-)
